Tim for Model Number whirlpool lte5243dq5 My washer will only run on high speed agitate, not low. Is this a problem with the timer or with the low speed control of the motor. If it is the motor, is there a way I can jump a wire on the timer so that the motor only runs with high speed? Thanks for your time in answering this question for me. Tim
Answer Hello Tim, Based on the information it sounds as though you are having a problem with the centrifugal switch on the motor. When you check the switch from V to White you should have 120 vac when on low. If you are not getting 120vac then check from blue to white and see if you are getting 120 vac. IF you are getting 120vac to this point then the contacts inside the switch are bad and you would need to replace the switch WP8529896. Read More...
