The Timer is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool washers. It is an electronic component that controls the duration of each wash cycle. The timer is located behind the control panel of the washer.

Curt, The only way to really test the motor would be to check the windings on the motor. Keep in mind that just because the windings may check ok then motor could still be bad.

Hello Tim, Based on the information it sounds as though you are having a problem with the centrifugal switch on the motor. When you check the switch from V to White you should have 120 vac when on low. If you are not getting 120vac then check from blue to white and see if you are getting 120 vac. IF you are getting 120vac to this point then the contacts inside the switch are bad and you would need to replace the switch WP8529896.

Larry, First check the lid switch and actuator assembly on the lid, WP3355806 WP358684 , Then remove the washer cabinet and check the drain hoses and pump for a clogged article or seized pump and the drive coupler for damage 285753A Good Luck and Thanks
