Ian for Model Number Admiral aav7000aww Hi, i had asked a question about my washer about a week ago but had not had a chance to test the pulley like asked. Just to refresh my problem was the washer would not spin in spin cycle so the advice was to see if i could turn it by hand. It does turn and will engage the spin cycle after doing so. My guess is its the belt slipping. Other than that it still fills, agitates, and does what its supposed to do. Thanks again for your time!
Answer Ian, I'm pretty sure it's more than a slipping belt, You also need to check the motor and transmission pulley WP21001950 for distotion and "burn/melted" spots, make sure the motor tension springWP22004376 is installed proper and maintains tension, check the motor for free movement on the motor slide plate. Remove the transmission "thrust bearing" pulley and assembly 12002213 for excess wear and distortion, If theres damage to it, the tub will not reach the proper hi spin speed RPM and you'll have the symptoms you described. Good Luck amd Thanks Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, October 31, 2011
