Paul, With the washer being "dead" now, you want to check and Mkae sure the lid switch and actuator has not failed 12001187. Also check and make sure the lid hinges are not loose and the lid is not bent. You would want to remove the front panel, unplug the power cord first, and check to see if the wiring harness and connections at the motor were not dislodged by the off balnced load, and the belt underneath the unit was not "kicked" off the pulleys( thats how the off balnce load works) If all's OK, then go for the timer.
