Ed for Model Number LAT8614AAE The machine was filling with water and I pushed in the button to stop it. When I pulled it out to resume filling, nothing happened. The indicator light does not work in any of the cycle modes except superwash but still the machine will not run in that cycle either. Does this sound like a timer problem or valve problem?
Answer Hello Ed. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the lid switch WP22001682 may be bad. Disconnect the power to the unit. Remove the screws on top of the control panel to access the lid switch. Test the fuse in the lid switch and see if it is bad. If so, replace the lid switch assembly. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps.http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
