Hello Ed. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the lid switch WP22001682 may be bad. Disconnect the power to the unit. Remove the screws on top of the control panel to access the lid switch. Test the fuse in the lid switch and see if it is bad. If so, replace the lid switch assembly. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
