Hello, I would first check the water valve WP22001274 for series 10 or lower, (series number is the first two numbers of the serial number), WP22002360 (for series 20 and above). If the cold water valve is bad, the unit could be filling from the hot valve on the wash and since the cold valve is the only valve energized for the rinse cycle, it could be the issue. Next, I would test the water temperature switch 22001655 and then the timer.
