Bob E. for Model Number MAV 7600 AWW Serial # 21277382 AG I have a problem with no power to my hot water inlet control valve. I checked the continnuity of the valve and it's o.k, then reversed the electrical leads going to the valve, I switched the hot and cold leads, and the hot water one would work and the cold would not. Switched them back to there proper position and the cold would work, and the hot would not. Am I looking to replace the timer, or the electrical board?
Answer Hello Bob. You will need to test and see if the temperature switch WP22002999 is bad and is not sending power to the valve. If so, it can cause the problems your having. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps.http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
