Jayne for Model Number 110.23832100 Washer fills and will start the cycle, but the knob will not turn, it just keeps washing without moving from cycle to cycle. The knob just spins when I turn it left to right. If I push in the knob, I can change the cycle, then I have to set a timer to go and move to next cycle. Timer bad?
Answer Hello Jayne. Yes, based on the information you provided, it sounds like the timer WP661649 is bad and will need to be replaced. Test and see if there is power coming to the timer motor across the two black wires. If so, and the motor does not turn the timer, replace the timer. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
