Dan M January 06, 2018 for Model Number 11023012100 My washer does advance through all phases off a wash cycle. It will fill, agitate, drain, rinse, and spin. I was wondering if the timer could be working faster than it should. My clothes are still wet at the end of the spin cycle. I recently replaced the motor, transmission, clutch, and drive block. I still have wet clothes at the end of a cycle. What else can it be?
1 Answer Dan, It would be unlikely for the timer to move to fast and cause the issue with the clothes being wet. This would most likely be an issue with the unit getting off balance causing this issue. Read More...
Shizuko December 21, 2016 for Model Number MFG p/n WP661649 / AP6010254 For Kenmore Residential washer 110.22702.100. This model does not come with Rinse Option but offers 2nd Rinse cycle after each of regular cycle ( Perm press or Ultra Clean ) Cycle ends after the first rinse / spin at "off" on dial, but leaves cloth very soggy. The cycle does not self advance to 2nd rinse. To complete the proper spin, it requires manual operation to advance to 2nd spin. Wondering if this is due to faulty dial/switch or this is a original design intent. Would like more information of the parts ( perhaps description of operation and the wiring diagram ). Your advise is appreciated.
1 Answer Shizuko, Manually having to advance the timer to the second rinse is the way that the unit was designed. On newer models there would be a option switch for a second rinse which your unit does not have. Read More...
Jennifer August 19, 2016 for Model Number 110.23812100 Hello, I have an 80 series Kenmore washing machine. The washer will fill with water and then stop when it has reached the appropriate water level. It will not advance to the next cycle. With the dial pushed in and the lid closed, I can manually advance the cycles to agitate, drain and spin. Do you think this a timer issue?
1 Answer Hello Jennifer. Yes it sounds like the timer WP661649 is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
Frus-Trated August 08, 2016 for Model Number 110.23832100 The washer functions properly, except that it will not spin unless you open the lid and close it during the drain/spin cycle. The motor runs and it drains, but no spin.
1 Answer Frustrated, This issue would most likely be caused by a faulty neutral drain in the transmission. The transmission part number for your unit would be 3360629. Read More...
Angelica July 02, 2016 for Model Number 110.23822100 My washer will fill and agitate, but it will not drain or spin. Once the knob advances past agitate, it does not move forward any further on its own. If I manually move the knob past the drain/rinse, it will agitate again, but will not go into the final spin. Does this sound like a timer issue?
Paul January 26, 2016 for Model Number LA8200XW washing machine All of the cycles work except for the spin cycle. I have replaced the lid switch, coupler and the clutch and it still does not spin. I can see the coupler spinning and the motor makes noise.
1 Answer Hello Paul. Based on the information you provided, you will need to order and replace the transmission in the unit. Read More...
Don February 16, 2015 for Model Number 11023822100 After reading your Q&A postings, I believe that the timer in my Kenmore washer needs to be replaced. My question is how do you sync the timer with the control dial on the machine? You really have no idea where the timer shaft is set for when you get the new one. If you can't tell where the timer is set, you have no idea where to replace the dial. There are no markings on the shaft vs. timer to indicate where in the wash cycle the shaft of the timer is.
1 Answer Don, When you receive the replacement timer WP661649, you will see how the white plastic portion of the timer shaft is shaped and "keyed" so the timer dial WP3949428 will fit in one way only, once the dial is properly aligned and seated on the shaft, screw the timer knob WP3948416 onto the threaded portion of the timer shaft, and test the washer operation.
