Maytag Ben for Model Number MVWC6ESWW1 I replaced the timer switch, but the new timer still stops between rinse and spin. I replaced the timer because it would not advance. Any suggestions? By the way I replaced it exactly how the video illustrated. Thank you!
Answer Ben, Check the lid switch WP8318084 circuit and wiring to the timer. The lid switch has to have a closed circuit to the timer in order for the washer to drain and spin. If the lid switch is OK, check the wiring to the timer from the load sensing switch WPW10248240 or replace the switch. The switch is the weakest link in the system, and if it doesn't send the signal to the timer delay motor, the washer will stop. Read More...
