Fernando for Model Number MVWC6ESWW1 Recently I ordered the Timer part #AP4418305 made by Whirlpool for our Maytag washer. My question is, how do I remove the existing Timer part in order to replace it with the new Timer part I ordered. I tried pulling the Timer Knob from the control lpanel assembly but it would not come out. Is there like a lock washer that I need to remove first to remove the Timer Know in order for the Timer part to come off. Please advise. Thank you for your assistance.
Answer Hello Fernando. It can be a little tricky removing the timer knob. On the back of the timer where the shaft comes through is a small slot that you stick a small screwdriver into. When you insert the screwdriver it will relaese the timer knob then you can pull it off of the shaft. Hope this helps. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, March 24, 2011
