Somewhere along the way, the griddle cover got too close to the gas jets and melted part of the handle. I looked at my range number and looked at your catalogue to find the replacement handle. I held my breath that the old one would come off of the griddle cover and I was rewarded with a clean removal of the handle. I replaced it with the new one, it fits perfectly. I am VERY happy.
