Richard M Charleston , SC September 03, 2020 Appliance: Bosch Dishwasher SHE55M15UC/64 Facia panel cracking on both sides of inset handle Pretty easy fix with replacement part from AppliancePartsPros -- but there's a catch: The eight control buttons, not the on/off button, all look alike, but they need to be installed in a certain order for them to work once you install the panel. No instructions for this and the repair video (by the tech Simon) does NOT make this clear. It took a lot of time and repeated installations to figure this out. The buttons, which can be from the old part, need to be installed according to the letters thinly embossed on their inside back cover to match the same letters on the back button openings of the new panel. Three are marked X, Y, Z. The five are A, B, C, D, E. These letters are hard to see, same gray color as the panel and buttons and you have to know to look for them. If you don't line them up in order and then install the panel, the buttons don't fit right, don't work or produce an error message and you waste time. A job that should have taken an hour or less took several hours. Bosch should explain this and the DYI consumer and the Pros should be clearer about it in the online and YouTube video. But customer service and tech support are very good. A brief mention of this by another customer on the website was the tip off. Michael K Greenwood , IN April 08, 2016 Fascia panel was cracked on my bosch dishwasher The repair was very simple and took me less than 25 minutes to complete. It took longer removing the buttons from the old panel and transferring them to the new panel...Dont want to break them! Be prepared and have a star bit or driver for the screws. Just remove the screws from the top of the door not forgetting the 2 screws that are on the side, gently wiggle and pull the control panel up exposing the 2 screws that are on the front. Remove them and the fascia panel comes right off. Put back together in reverse order...Very simple job!! Christina S Arlington , VA December 08, 2015 Appliance: Model SHE55M15UC.64 Bosch dishwasher fascia was cracked Removed front door panel and the broken top panel fascia from dishwasher (you need a special screwdriver with a star-shaped head, which we had), remove the buttons from the old fascia and put them in new fascia, then reattach all. Watched some YouTube tutorials, which helped. It was an easy, even fun, repair. Buying the part and repairing it ourselves saved us probably $150-200, and we did the work on our schedule. Shipping was super fast. Very pleased all around. Read More... 10 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
Dilip N Arlington , MA November 12, 2018 Broken fascia panel and buttons. The one thing it took us a while to figure out, is that the buttons have to be put in in a particular order. The buttons look similar but are not interchangeable. Read More... 7 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
James G Roeland Park , KS January 03, 2020 The front panel and several buttons were cracked The front panel replacement process is pretty straightforward. One item to note. As mentioned in another review the order of the buttons is important. Make sure to match the letter identifier on the button with the letter on the replacement front panel slot. Also, remember to remove the door handle from the damaged panel and install it in the replacement panel.
