Bosch 00609266 Push Button Set (Control Panel) OEM Part

I ordered a new Panel/Facia and bought replacement buttons just to be safe. All were pretty easy, but two things to BE CAREFUL about that are important. First, watch the videos about how to remove and replace the facia panel because if you do it improperly you will easily break the plastic tabs and be screwed. Secondly, The five-button MUST BE INSTALLED IN THE RIGHT ORDER. They are different from each other and the DW will not work if you don't notice that, they have letters that are stamped on them and on the spots they go in the panel. Because I missed that detail, I kept thinking I had gotten them in a bind somehow snapping it in place, but they were out of order. Otherwise, if I had to do it again, it would only take me about 15 minutes.

I ordered a new facia, and realized the buttons weren't included, so I had to order them separately. My fault for not reading closely. The pushbuttons are labeled C thru G, which wasn't obvious at first as they all look similar (a couple are slightly different). The labeling on the facia is under where the buttons attach, so you must identify them before installing them. I didn't, and had to take the whole thing apart again. The only other problem was reattaching the face panel. You have to make sure the water seal at the bottom of the door is not catching behind the panel when you attempt to put it on. It will not work. The seal has to be under the panel. Other than those two points the repair works. The parts are correct, and the service person on the phone when I called for the parts was extremely helpful in making sure I was getting the correct parts.

Followed two Youtube videos, read several online posts. Reasonably simple disassembly and fascia reinstall. Great difficulty getting the outer panel back on correctly. Instructions gloss over getting top metal panel slots lined up with four fascia tabs. Also glossed over the plastic spacers which pop off during removal. They are very important for alignment. Lower rubber seals must be properly aligned or they interfere with door bottom. The first two attempts to reinstall took about one hour. The door wouldn't open flat. I came back to the problem the next day and immediately got all the parts to snap correctly. Took maybe five minutes. It seems to be satisfactory but haven't made a water test run.

I followed a you tuber with the same broken part and the same dishwasher model. Repair was easy.

Ordered new one and replaced. It takes just a few screws and a bit of finesse to replace.
