• Holds the float in position so it can move freely with water level changes
• Helps the float reliably actuate the overfill/float switch
• Replace if cracked, loose, or missing
• Typical symptoms include a loose or wobbly float, the float popping off, erratic filling, overfilling, or leaks near the float area

• One float palnut

• Disconnect power and turn off water supply before servicing
• Remove the lower rack to access the float assembly
• Remove the old retainer; press the new palnut squarely onto the float stem until snug
• The float moves freely up and down before reassembling
