This OEM intake manifold o-ring seal is placed between two rigid parts to retain the pressure. It is manufactured from a flexible material that allows the o-ring to create a tight seal between the two parts. A new intake manifold o-ring seal may be needed if the o-ring itself is broken or worn and is not able to create a tight seal. Signs that the o-ring seal has gone bad is if the engine is overheating or the engine misfires or decreases in power during use.
