This membrane switch panel is commonly used with stoves and ovens. It is a genuine OEM replacement part. This part is typically used in tandem with an oven control board as a way to ensure the oven is operating correctly. The membrane is the part that sits over the internal parts to protect them. It is also designed so users can make changes to the setting of the oven quickly and easily. If the membrane has been damaged, replacement is necessary. Not doing so could lead to problems with other parts, such as the control panel. First, make sure the power supply to the range is turned off. Use tools to remove the knobs and knob bezels to gain access to the membrane and console. Unscrew the screws at the top corner and middle. This will provide access to the lock nuts behind the console. Remove those and replace the original membrane switch panel with a new component. Reassemble the range, turn the power back on, and test the appliance. This part is sold as an individual part and is designed to be used with Dacor refrigerators. A screwdriver and nut driver will likely be needed during the replacement process.
