If the door is no longer shutting properly and is cracked or damaged, it could mean that it needs to be replaced. To replace the door assembly, start by shutting off all power to the appliance by either unplugging or turning off the circuit breaker. Once the power has been cut, proceed to open the old door assembly. Locate the hinges that secure the door to the appliance and remove the mounting screws. Once removed, gently pull the door off its hinges. Take the new assembly and place it directly on the hinges and proceed to fasten the screws to secure the new door. This OEM part is sold individually and is compatible with Frigidaire, Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Westinghouse brand microwaves.
