Gerald G St. Louis , MO August 05, 2019 Appliance: Model KENMORE MODEL 790.80363310 Microwave blew line fuse It took a long time to determine the problem but eventually I discovered that the plastic bracket (latch hook) that held the three door-switches showed appreciable wear from repeated door openings and closings. This wear stopped the door from sealing properly and the door switch safety mechanism blew the line fuse. Leif K Jacksonville , AR February 04, 2016 Appliance: Frigidaire Microwave Oven FFMV164LSA Microwave door latch broke Replaced door latch. I opened the door and lifted up on it to release the hinge. Darek S Washington , DC January 13, 2017 Appliance: Electrolux Microwave, Over-The-Range FGMV175QFA Microwave would not heat food The top hook of this latch broke, but still appeared to be connected. It wasn't engaging with the internal switch that completes the circuit for cooking. Closer inspection revealed that the top hook was still hanging on by a little piece of plastic, but was actually broken and not able to engage. I took the door off, took it apart, replaced the latch and reassembled. All is working again.
