The Knob Clip is an OEM part for GE washing machines and dryers. This small but crucial component is designed to secure the control knob to the appliance's control panel.  

Over time, knob clips can wear out or break due to frequent use or accidental damage. When this happens, the control knob may become loose, fall off easily, or fail to engage the control panel properly, making it difficult to set the appliance to the desired cycle or function.

Symptoms of a bad Knob Clip include:

• The control knob is loose or falls off the panel easily.

This OEM GE part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

The Rotary Start Switch is an OEM replacement part for GE dryers. It is silver and black in color, with a white D-shaped shaft. The rotary start switch is found inside the dryer control panel, and when actuated, it starts the dryer.

Causes of a bad start switch include prolonged use resulting in normal wear and tear, internal component failure, or accidental external damage.

Symptoms of a bad start switch are:

• The dryer failing to start or operate as selected
• Intermittent or inconsistent operation

This is a genuine OEM part that works for some models of GE, and Hotpoint models.

This dryer timer controls the length and sequence of drying cycles. Replacing a failed timer restores proper cycle advancement so the dryer starts, runs, and shuts off at the correct time.

• Controls cycle timing and progression through the selected settings
• Opens/closes internal contacts to route power to the drive motor, heat circuit, and end-of-cycle signal as designed
• Advances the control dial and stops the dryer at the OFF position
• Typical symptoms of a bad timer: timer won't advance, dryer runs too long, stops mid-cycle, or won't start on timed cycles

• Disconnect power before servicing; for gas dryers, also shut off the gas supply
• Access timer from the control panel; remove the rear panel/cover to reach it
• Label or photograph wire positions and transfer them one-by-one to the new timer
• Secure the timer with original screws, reinstall the dial/knob, and test cycle operation

• Complete failure to illuminate, which could stem from a burnt-out bulb or electrical issues within the dryer
