Igniter Switch (Surface Burner)

This surface burner igniter switch mounts on the gas valve shaft and signals the spark module to ignite when you turn the knob. Replacing a worn or stuck switch restores consistent clicking and dependable lighting of the cooktop burners.

  • Closes the ignition circuit as the knob is turned from OFF, triggering spark at the surface burners
  • Typical symptoms: no spark/click at a burner, intermittent ignition, or continuous clicking when knobs are off
  • Fits over the valve stem and connects to the spark harness
What's included: 1 surface burner igniter switch Install notes:
  • Disconnect electrical power and shut off gas before servicing
  • Remove the knob and access the control panel/top to reach the valve switch
  • Note wire positions; transfer connectors one at a time and align the switch correctly on the valve shaft
  • Test for proper spark at each burner before reassembly
