This OEM replacement part is a grill unit assembly for the cooktops. The grill unit assembly is the coil assembly that heats the stove grill. It provides the heat used to cook on the stovetop grill. Over time, due to excessive wear and tear, the grill unit can become inoperable. If the grill on the stovetop is no longer heating or turning on, it might be time to replace it. Luckily, replacing this part is a fairly simple process.To begin, start by unplugging the stove. After the power has been cut, lift the grill top grates from the stove. Once removed, locate the grill unit and pull it outward to release the attached prongs connected to the stove. After releasing the old unit, align the new grill unit's prongs to the openings on the stove and attach them. Place the grate cover back over the grill unit and restore power to the appliance.This genuine replacement part is sold individually and is compatible with General Electric, Hotpoint, and RCA brand cooktops.
