This speed control cable connects the handle-mounted speed lever to the drive system on a self-propelled lawn mower. It allows the operator to adjust ground speed by transmitting input from the control lever to the transmission. Replace this cable if the mower no longer responds to speed adjustments, the cable is frayed or kinked, or the self-propel function is intermittent.
