Replace the element 

Ordered new element, arrived quickly. Removed old broken element and placed new. Quick repair. Works like new! 

Removed various oven pieces, so that I could then remove the burner. Tested burner continuity. There was none. Ordered new burner & then installed. 

It was super easy to replace. Shut off power to oven. Turn two philips screws. Pull out old element and disconnect. Connect new element. Screw in the plate. Done. 

Ordered the bake elements, used a screwdriver and replaced them. 

I have had a Thermador oven since 1998. The convection element went out months ago. I had been using the bake mode. Recently, the bake element also went kaput. I am just a housewife trying to keep things cheap so I figured out how to fix it. AppliancePartsPros.com made it easy to find my parts. And it came in less than 2 days!!!!! I called Thermidor for the part, which was discontinued. I called a local appliance parts company and left a message. By the time they return my called, I had already received the part, watched a couple of videos, and installed it myself. Thank goodness for AppliancePartsPros.com! The website is easy to use and the service is prompt. 

The hardest part of fixing this was figuring out how to take the element out of the oven. There were several steps that had to be accomplished first before the element would come out. But after that, it basically was just putting the new element in and putting it all back together. 

Followed the video instructions posted on the site for our particular part. Very helpful! 

I replace the bottom 30" oven bake element. This is the second time I've done this. The first time, all three elements had ostensible signs of deterioration. This time, however, the bake element I took out had exactly the same resistance (~21 Ohms). I am suspicious why the one I replaced no longer works. I am not a fan of Thermador ovens.
