George D South Hero , VT December 01, 2015 Appliance: Model THERMADOR SC301T Oven door would not close completely oven light would not stay off unless door was pushed shut Hinges replaced. The problem is that the springs in the hinges have weakened with age and no longer provide enough tension to keep the oven door properly closed. The springs in the new hinges restored the original tension and resolved the problem. You must take the door apart to install the hinges. The only difficult part was releasing the tension on the old hinges before removing them from the oven door and "cocking" the new hinges after they were installed in the door.
