Ruth M Brooklyn , NY June 01, 2021 The dishwasher handle end cap cracked. I had to detach the dishwasher face from the door in order to unscrew the handle end cap and replace it with the new one. This involved having the right type of screwdriver so that all of the screws the run around the perimeter of the dishwasher could be removed. I would recommend placing something like a short step stool or a cardboard box under the dishwasher door to support the facing once you get to the bottom screws because it will fall if you do not. Since there are wires connecting the control panel to the door you don’t want the facing to dangle by these wires. When the facing was off I simply slid the control panel out so that I could get to the screw where the end cap was attached to the facing. I replaced the end cap quickly and slid the control panel back in place. Then I put the facing back onto the door and replaced the screws. This was the easiest repair I’ve ever done. Read More... Jim Y Middleboro , MA May 24, 2021 Appliance: Bosch Dishwasher SHX4ATF5UC/14 Both handle end caps were cracked. The video covers the main details. Beware when you take the front cover off there are 2 plastic pieces in the bottom left and right corners. They popped out and I couldn't tell where they had been attached. The bottom right piece is wired and is the red LED that shines down to indicate the washer is running. The bottom left piece is just a spacer. They both slide into the inner door metal frame. I couldn't find these on any diagram and had to play jigsaw puzzle for a few, so just a heads up and hope that saves someone a little time. Otherwise, the parts ordered were exact fit, and people no longer get stabbed by sharp plastic if they brush up to the dishwasher handle! Read More... Alex D Windermere , FL July 20, 2019 I wanted to change my dishwasher from a black front panel to a stainless panel plus the door spring had broken so I needed to replace that I pulled up your video on how to do it and it was very straight-forward. The only "special" tool that was required was a Torx screwdriver, but I have a set, so it was fine. I ordered the parts on a Sunday night, got the shipping confirmation on Monday, and they arrived on Wednesday - I had the repair done that same night. Very good experience. Read More...
