How to Troubleshoot & Replace Bosch AP3674290 / 00492431 Ignition Device

Replaced the igniter. Remove, replace, fire, magic. 

Watched YOUTUBE first to determine the problem and how to fix it. Took oven door off and removed igniter. I installed the connector to the original post. 

Replaced the igniter. Ordered the part Sunday, December 27th at about 7:00 pm and part arrived December 29th in the afternoon. 

After researching the problem and understanding it might be a bad ignition device, At first, I searched on other sites for the proper part and landed at AppliancePartsPros as their site had the best descriptions, advice, price, and shipping! I ordered the part which arrived the next day. The part was an exact match and the repair was very easy. 

Look in the appliance manual that came with the stove. 

Unable to "Unlock" via controls as indicated. Activacted Broil in the oven area. Broiler worked! Checked out video on igniter, tested as indicated in video. Igniter; Failed Ohm's Test. Ordered igniter for Oven. Replaced igniter, as shown in video. Oven; activated correctly with new igniter. System operational. Thank you! 

I replaced the igniter following a Youtube video. My oven differed from the one in the video in that all the screws were Torx instead of philips. Process was: 1) Remove door 2) Remove cover and plate along bottom front edge 3) Remove oven shelves and bottom plate 4) Replace igniter 5) Reassemble Overall it took a little more than half an hour. Most difficult part was detaching the door. Note the screws are varying sizes but all take the same Torx wrench. It's a good idea to keep them sorted so you put the right ones back in the right place. 

Knew it was the igniter. Checked online and ordered the part. It came very quickly. Installed the part and it's working great. 

Replaced old burnt out ignition with replacement part and it works great. 

I bought a new ignitor and replaced it.
