How to Troubleshoot & Replace Bosch AP4300437 / 00665888 Facia Panel

Got to looking around the internet and found replacement parts AND a spot on how-to video at AppliancePartsPros.com. Ordered the part in the afternoon and had it by the next morning. Replaced it in less than 15 mins, just like the video said. 

Bought a replacement panel facia and after watching the video I replaced the cracked original. Easy job, no difficulties. Be sure to save the buttons and chrome handle as they do not come with the replacement panel. 

Needed to replace the control panel cover which is used to open and close the dishwasher door. The videos were helpful in judging whether or not I should try this repair as I am not handy with tools. Repair was quick. I did a lot of research to determine the part and the extent of the repair which made the actual repair much easier. 

I checked the pieces and found that only the front panel fascia was broken. All other parts (handle, buttons) were okay. I looked up the part on AppliancePartsPros.com and ordered the part that matched my BOSCH dishwasher model number. 

Repair was pretty simple. Removed 8 screws from the face panel, and 2 screws for the faceplate/handle. Took off the faceplate/handle and removed the buttons and placed them onto the new faceplate/handle. Replace the faceplate/handle, 2 screws. Replaced the face panel, 8 screws. Closed the dishwasher door, and it worked perfectly. Took less than 20 minutes including time to get out and put away the tools. Saved more than I spent. No service call, No repair time. Between Tim G's posting and the Youtube video the repair went fine. Sliding the facia back onto the control panel board and outer door panel back onto the door took some jiggling and brunt force to snap them back in. 

Ordered a Panel-Facia for my Bosch dishwasher model # SHE55M16UC/64, the original had cracked near the pull handle. My dishwasher is 8 years old and still runs perfectly so I decided to repair it. There is a good video for how to do this repair on the AppliancePartsPros.Com website which I followed. I did encounter one serious problem that I don't think was emphasized in the repair procedure. When I removed the push buttons I opted to clean them, they got mixed up. They look identical to each other so I did not see the need to clean and swap them one at a time. When I reassembled the control panel the display was showing a C1 and nothing worked. I took the panel off (no buttons) and the dishwasher worked again. The problem was being caused by the locations of the plastic buttons. Upon closer examination I saw that the buttons all have different alpha characters on them and that the Panel-Facia has the same letters by each switch location. Once I placed each button in its proper location everything worked. I did take some measurements trying to see where the differences where and never found what made them location specific.
