How to Troubleshoot & Replace Bosch AP4339596 / 00611332 Drain Pump

My dishwasher wasn't draining. I was pretty certain it was just the drain pump but was to busy with my job to fix it myself. I called a local repair shop to take a look at it. They came out a week later and charged me $140 to tell me "yup, its your drain pump! We will need to order the parts". Screw them, I went on-line and ordered the part from AppliancePartsPros.com. It was delivered in 2 days. Took me 15 minutes with a single Philips head screwdriver and the dishwasher works! 

I found the maintenance manual online which isn't an easy thing to find. I determined that the error code was associated with the drain pump. I replaced the drain pump and it works perfectly now! 

Replaced the drain pump. 

Did plenty of online research to diagnose solution. I used the videos for step by step disassembly, removal and replacement. Took about 1 and 1/2 hrs. Hardest part was disconnecting some of the wires as there were all kinds of clips. I did NOT want to force anything and break off a snap clip. Just went slowly. Oddest part was the pump. You twist clockwise to remove and counter-clockwise to install. Other hard part was the plastic harness that holds the dispenser. There are 8 metal clips holding it and you have to use dimes to keep them open. Kooky method I got from online video actually worked. 

After receiving the error code we contacted Bosch and they helped us reset the start button. Realizing the water would not drain , I contacted your repair expert and she directed me to What she believed the problem was. Given all the signs , I decided to order the drain pump after watching your Great video for removing the old pump and replacing it. The part arrived next day and spent probably 20 minutes to install and away we go. 

I replaced the pump, cleaned the sump / filter and cleaned the air gap. The part was delivered next day. Problem solved. I suggest starting with cleaning the sump, filter and air gap. 

Ordered new pump and replaced it. Watched video provided. Was easy and saved me a lot of money. 

Took out the old one and put in the new one in less time than it takes to brush your teeth 

Replaced drain pump. Took about 30 minutes including replacing pump, suctioning drain lines and sponging out bottom of machine. 

Replaced drain pump. If I didn't have to remove the door panel to gain access to the part with enough room to work, the replacement would have taken less than 15 minutes. Very easy replacement..
