How to Troubleshoot & Replace Bosch AP4339596 / 00611332 Drain Pump

Replaced the drain pump by following the instructions in the YouTube video provided. 

Installed new drain pump. On your particular model, this could have been an easy replacement, but, following video instructions on YouTube, we took off the dishwasher front panel, which required some re-jiggering of the electrical. No need -- and a major hassle! So my advice to future DIYers, is try to access the drain pump from the bottom first. It's quite a simple switch-out if your particular Bosch dishwasher is newer. 

The cycle would randomly stop with an error E25 and I would find water in the bottom of the dishwasher. I could pump the water out by lifting the float after the water cooled down. I cleaned out small debris and hair from the bottom drain a couple of times and it helped. I decided to replace the drain pump when E25 happened all the time. I also installed a new check valve in the drain line. I removed the dishwasher and tipped it on its side for easy access to the pump. The new pump was nearly silent compared to the old one. Error E25 did not return. I removed the armature from the old pump and found hair and lint wrapped around the shaft between the impeller and the bearing making the shaft hard to rotate. Drain hoses were not clogged. Very easy repair. 

After watching a video on AppliancePartsPros.com I realized I did not need to pull the dishwasher out from under the counter. The drain pump is on the front of the unit. Purchased the part, a few days later it arrived and replacement was reasonably easy thanks to that video. 

A post on the site said that this was typically caused by bad drain pump. A video showed how easy it was to fix. Ordered the pump, received it in two days and installed the new pump in 15 minutes. Works great. 

Dishwasher showed CLEAN after only a few minutes running. There was water remaining in the pan. I first replaced the control unit. Same results. I then replaced the drain pump. SUCCESS! The original pump appeared to be fouled with debris. Given the price of the pump, it makes sense to replace it rather than attempt to clear it. The pump may have also been damaged by the impeller motor not turning well. YouTube videos show how to repair the dishwasher. The pump replacement recommendation came from AppliancePartsPros videos. 

Removed cover from door and the lower panel removed the the electrical plug to pump turn it clock wise in install new pump 

We ordered a new drain pump and watched a video to guide us in the replacement.

Replacing the drain pump corrected the problem. Very little water spilled out, took about 45 minutes to complete the job.
