How to Troubleshoot & Replace Bosch AP5326239 / 00620774 Drain Pump

Replaced drain pump using video from appliancepartspros.com. 

I thought the pump was clogged up with junk, cleaned it out (remove the white cover in the bottom of the drain). That worked for a couple days but started getting the E24 code again. I used a shop vac to suck out the drain lines - it's hard to tell if anything is stuck in there. I decided to replace the pump after reading other reports on the website -it seemed like it was noisier than it used to be. So far it is working fine, the pump is quieter and when the DW drains it sounds like it is blasting out a lot harder than before. So the old pump worked but perhaps was weak? I appreciate the videos, info, and parts diagrams on the website. 

Replaced the drain pump 

Cleared out the drain lines, checked drain filter , to make sure nothing was clogged. Ordered new pump, watched YouTube video. Took less then 15 minutes to take old pump off and put new one on. Easy peasy. 

I checked the drain line, filters and impeller on drain pump. They all checked out good, so assumed that it was a bad pump. I ordered a new pump and had it the next day...amazing! The video that was posted on the ApplianceParts website did an excellent job walking me through pump replacement. It was all an excellent experience.

I ordered a new pump. I made the mistake of ordering the wrong pump. It was real close in design with the impeller was slightly different, but fit perfectly in the hole. I actually called Bosch and they said it would not make a difference about the impeller. After installing pump, the dishwasher threw another error code. E25. I called AppliancePartsPros.com and talked to a guy there named Ken. Most helpful and he fixed the problem. That is learned when I had ordered the wrong pump. The impeller makes a difference and I had the wrong pump. Ordered a new pump then, and hopefully this will fix the issue. I am getting real good at taking that pump in and out. lol 

Checked for clogged drain then checked pump and replaced it. Note pump impeller was impeded by hair and lint wound around it causing it to wear out. video on repair was very helpful. Thank you for excellent repair videos.
