The Drain Pump is an OEM part for Bosch dishwashers. This pump is responsible for removing water from the dishwasher at the end of the wash and rinse cycles, ensuring that the appliance functions efficiently and that dishes are properly cleaned and dried.

Over time, the drain pump can become clogged with debris, suffer from electrical issues, or experience mechanical wear. These issues can lead to the pump failing to remove water effectively, impacting the overall performance of the dishwasher.

Symptoms of a bad Drain Pump include:

  • Water not draining from the dishwasher
  • Unusual noises during the drain cycle
  • Error codes related to drainage issues
  • Water pooling at the bottom of the dishwasher

This OEM Bosch part is also compatible with Thermador, Gaggenau, and some Kenmore models.

Allan, You have a leak in one part of the cycle. Pull out and leave the unit out and have both sides where you can see underneath. It could possibly leak in the drain, fill, or wash cycle. That disk is a safety float that when it floats it trips a switch and shuts down and drains thinking the machine is flooding.
