How to Troubleshoot & Replace Bosch AP5808991 / 00755060 Water Sensor (Dishwasher)

Replaced the oven bake element and the sensor. I don’t think that the sensor was faulty, but replaced anyway. The replacement was fairly easy, but there are 2 clips that hold the element and the element’s front crossbar will snag on the clip that holds the rear cross member. To solve this and prevent the rear clip grabbing the front cross member, used a saw as a guide to cover the rear clip and act as a ramp for the element. Once the front cross member has passed the rear clip, the saw can be pulled out. A long ruler could be used instead. 

This probe labeled for BOSCH ovens works in my Thermador Oven/microwave/warming drawer combination. 

The broiling element (Upper) does not come on if the door is not closed - I realized this when I tried to test the element using Broil - it kept saying 'Close Door', and would not heat. Therefore by replacing the door switch it fixed the problem with coming up to temperature on Bake - I guess the upper Broiling element is used in addition to the baking element to get up to temp. Changing switch is trivial - just pull/pry it out and pull off connectors and push it back it in. Oven has worked perfect last 4 months now - all because of this switch we had been dealing with this for over a year!
