How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP4363896 / 134616100 Door Boot Seal

Got to the website, and couldn't figure out the correct replacement part, so I asked the online chat support. The rep was extremely friendly and helpful, and got me the correct part. The installation was pretty straightforward after watching a couple of Youtube installation videos. The only hard part was putting back the spring band around the part to hold it in place. I have a load of clothes going right now, and it looks like the seal is tight and everything is back to normal. Thank you! 

I replaced the old boot with a new one. Removing the old boot isn't hard but, when installing the spring around the back off the boot you need another set of hands. The spring is very tight when installed. Takes about 1 hour to do.

Took the entire washer apart and inspected all components and ordered the main cause which was the Water Dispenser Valve. Also found out the Door Boot Seal had a hole in it.. Replaced all components I ordered. Also ordered and replaced the bearings/seal set. Will be ordering the shocks and springs later. 

I took the front off and replaced and fixed what the technician broke when he was here so I saved myself 300.00 dollars in repairs and yes it was a challenge and It works better now than before. 

It took me 2 h. It is just time consuming. The hardest part was to align and put the groove edge and the spring clamp. Spacers were not provided and I used strong clamps. 

Part was perfect fit. The available video explained how to replace. Repair was perfect. Awesome program!! I am an engineer and I oversee a large maintenance department... I am truly impressed with your service, nice job! 

I watched a video on YouTube and ordered the part from appliancepartspros.com. Replacing was fairly easy
