How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP4362529 / 137007010 Electronic Control Board (Main)

I started getting error E90 a few weeks ago. At first, if I unplugged and plugged the washer back in, the error cleared and the machine worked like normal. Then, that didn't work anymore. I learned from Google school (and confirmed via this website) that an E90 error meant something was wrong with the control board. I decided to order the part on a Thursday, and got it overnighted so hopefully the repair could be done Friday night and we could get laundry done again. The part came quickly. I watched the YouTube video about replacing the part, and it was great. It went step-by step and showed clearly what screws needed to be taken out, and how to replace the control board. It took me about an hour to do that Friday night. I could have done it more quickly, but I took a couple of breaks here and there. After I replaced the board as the man in the video showed, I plugged the machine back in and it works perfectly. I am sure I saved hundreds of dollars on a repairman, and having to leave work to meet him at the house. My machines are 7 years old and I hope to get many more years out of them. So lucky to have found the web site that gave me confidence to fix this machine. It was out of action for only the time it took to get the parts (2 days). Wife was so happy she took me out for Sunday brunch! 

Ordered this board, it took about 20 minutes to replace, and my washer is good as new. Take a picture of the bad board before unplugging it. Will be easier to plug the new one.

The video was excellent, was step by step saved me a lot of time. Plus other videos I watched were not as good at explaining each step. I will definitely shop with you guys soon. 

Replaced the control board and the error is fixed. 

Took the cover off the top of my washing machine removed the 4 screws for the read out removed the wiring for each place and popped the front piece back on and tested the washer and it worked 

I watched the video (which I believe was on your site). Seemed simple enough and said that time to complete was 15 minutes. I could see that being true but it took me about 45 minutes as I was very careful not to break anything while installing the new control. The only issue I had was getting the wash selection knob to fit into the control I then took the control board out of the plastic housing to line up the groove on it to the groove on the plastic housing. That is where the extra time came in as I was very careful getting the board out. After that, it was smooth sailing. 

Followed the youtube videos. The internet explained that the main control board needed replacement. The hardest part was unstacking and getting dryer out of way. The youtube video gave the great suggestion of using our wheeled recycle trash container. Easy to follow and changeout only took 30 minutes 

I ordered what I thought was the correct replacement board. It showed up and was slightly different. This was my fault; I hadn’t verified the model number off the label on the door. The customer service rep was very helpful in finding the exact board I needed and setting up the return for the piece I needed. Once I actually had the correct model board in place, the repair was very easy. Note: I took a picture of the wires and plugs connected to the old board before unhooking and swapping out the boards. This helped take the guesswork out of that part. 

The advantage now of "googling" and finding answers is an underused gift. I found that it needed a new control panel circuit board. It was easy to find the part number and with a little search Appliancepartspros.com not only had the part, but also a video on what to do to repair it. I ordered the part and believe it or not, I received the part less than 24 hours from ordering! The switching out the part was simple, if you pay attention. I was able to do loads of wash immediately after. I have done things like this before, but rarely does it go without a problem. This time it was easy, quick and successful.
