How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP3886929 / 134550700 Washer Inner Door Frame

Removed the door with the hinge. Took out the screws holding parts together. Switched out the old, broken parts for the 2 new panels. Replaced the screws and reattached the hinge. Very simple and straight forward. Just needed the one screwdriver. 

Had to change outer and inner door 

I looked up my appliance model number, looked for the parts, ordered, tI waited a couple of days for the parts to arrive. I was able to install the new door in about 30 minutes, using only a screw driver!!! the parts were a perfect fit, and now we can wash clothes again! 

Like most repair projects, one thing led to another, and in the end it wasn't just the door panels that were cracked, the hinge was, too (I didn't realize that until I had the door completely off.) Although that part was out of stock on this site I was able to quickly order it someplace else. Once I had all the parts it really only took about 20 minutes and one screwdriver to get everything right again. If an overwhelmed single mom can do this, anyone can! It may seem daunting but just take a breath and realize you can do it! 

We ordered the new door hinge and inside rim for it, which my husband was able to repair, otherwise we would have to purchase a washer & dryer because the model was discontinued and not compatible with the new front loaders. 

I replaced the hinge and the inner and outer panels which had been damaged around the broken hinge. It took a little time but was easy. 

With the parts ordered, I replaced the latch and hinge. 

I bought the panel with the outer door and the frame. Swapped them out and bolted back on the washing machine! Bam like new. 

Took door off, and repaired. 

I replaced both the door and door boot seal. It was very helpful that there were instructional videos on your website. Thank you.
