Hello Jane, If you use the parts explosion you should have no trouble in the re-assembly. The door will then hang and bolt on the unit. I'm sorry but there are no instructions in print from the manufacturer.

Carolyn for Model Number FAFW3511KWO

My Frigidaire Affinity front loading washer door hinge is broken and the plastic around the hinge on the outer door panel has crumbled away the door is usable however it's sagging and breaking I have to hold it up to open it. I think that I need the following parts: Door Panel 134550500 / Door Hinge 134550800 / Maybe Hinge reinforcement 134550900 / Do I need screws or something? :-) the washer was purchased in 09 do you think this problem was caused during the installation perhaps it was not aligned properly? Can I fix this myself or should a pro align it for me? Thanks

Hello Carolyn, The door hinge and the door latch assembly will need to be replace. If the latch is damaged, it will have to be replaced also. When the new parts are assembled they will all align properly so you should have no problem. The existing screws can be reused for this job.

Hi Dan. First of all, use a torpedo level on the top and make sure that it is level front to back and side to side. If it is cocked it will misaligned the striker and wear out the door latch. This may be the cause of the door frame cracking as well. Someone may have leaned on it too hard while removing clothes and started the crack. The door frame is part # 134550700. The door hinge is part # 134550800. If the hinge is loose as you test from lifting the door up and down slightly. Thank you.

Hi John. The door hinge part # 134550800 has 2-plastic bushings that engage the door inner panel part # 134550500. The door strike is part # 131763302. It is a floating mount strike . The screws are tight but the strike can move a little up or down. Make sure the unit is level front to back and side to side with each leg lock nut is tight up against the base of the unit. So your unit will not settle and allow the door to have these issues. Tell users to be careful of this issue. Thank You.
