How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP4365966 / 318024747 Hinge

Watched the You-Tube video by AppliancePartsPros, then ordered the parts from their website. Repair was just as the video explained and was very straightforward. I truly appreciate the help and probably saved a couple hundred dollars. 

Purchased new hindges through AppliancePartsPros.com. Learned that I would be getting a different part than original. Manufacture did a part replacement. Parts were replaced very easily within 15 minutes and oven door works great. 

The oven original "hinge receptacle" roller wheels were plastic and had broken. I was happy to see that the new/replacement receptacle was built with metal wheels that should last longer. The hinges probably did not need to be replaced, but since I had the oven apart, I went ahead and replaced them. Replacing (2) hinges and (2) hinge receptacles took about 1.5 hours, with cleaning before reassembly, and required no special tools or knowledge. 

Replaced the door closing springs 

The previous owners of our home left the oven door with a bad hinge. It "worked" for a few months but wouldn't fully close. I ordered a replacement from AppliancePartsPros.com by simply entering the model number from my stove. I received the part in less than 48 hours and popped the new hinge in. I did need to reference the manual to figure out how to unlock the hinge (this is the first time I've repaired/replaced one), but overall it was a good experience. I was very impressed by the speed of delivery and the exact match I got for the part I needed. Will come back to this site for future parts and recommend it to everyone I know. 

I removed the oven door and took it apart. Replaced the bad bracket, put the door back together and replaced it back on the stove. This was the first time I did such a job. It took 30 mins. 

I ordered two new hinges for the Frigidaire oven door. I watched a number of YouTube videos on how to remove the door and clean the glass. Those videos done by different people were very helpful and consistent to each other. That gave me the confidence to pursue the replacement of the hinges. However, once in front of the oven door and I started to lift up on the door for removal. I kept lifting the entire oven. It took me 4 or 5 tries to figure out that I had to move the lock on the hinges for me to lift the door out (Needed to remember the video). Small detail, but a very necessary (Duh). The rest was easy. I did take pictures as I started to take apart the door to clean. Even as mechanical as I am, I used the pictures to reassemble (I mainly used them for confirmation). Thanks to ApplianceParts for there quick delivery and reasonable Cost of the hinges, the door has a lot harder pull now. Everyone is happy. 

Ordered new hinge. Delivered in 2 days. Replaced hinge. Works great! 

Bought 2 hinges from APP and installed. Perfect replacement part. The door works like new. Purchased the part found by model from APP. Followed removal instructions for door and glass, popped out hinges and replaced. What a simple fix for a long aggravating problem. (we also cleaned off all the grime from internals, including screws, while it was apart). 

I removed the door, identified the problem, went on line to Appliance Pros web site, located the part and placed the order. The item arrived 2 days later, was installed, and the oven was back in service. My second time using Appliance Pros. I was very happy with their efficient service and price of parts.
