How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP2591529 / wfcb Refrigerator Water Filter

Bought the part suggested and used the helpful video shown with the part to fix it. Part was delivered very fast. Glad to have it fixed. 

Replaced the water filter housing asy. 

Water was leaking all over the refrigerator. Finally tracked it down to a cracked housing around the water filter. Ordered a new Water Filter Housing piece. Its really nice not to have to order the entire housing - just the piece that was cracked and the new filter. It showed up a few days later and actually fit the first time. Ice is now being made and water is available. 

I tried to glue the plastic parts with epoxy, didn't work. Tried superglue, didn't work. Nothing sticks to that plastic, it's that easy to keep clean. I was fortunate that the tempered glass survived, because when my replacement part arrived, I just put it in place, set the glass panel in and started loading food in. Worked like a champ. 

Replaced the old filter with the new one. 

No problem. Pulled the old filter out and plugged the new filter in. 

I ordered the part on your website. After a short time, I received an email confirming my order. Two days later I received the part. I was able to replace the part without any problems. I appreciated that the company confirming my information and the quicker than expected delivery! AND the piece was almost $20 cheaper than the part from Frigidaire!!!!!! Next, I'll be ordering a kickplate! 

Local chain retail stores did not carry the style of filter or the gasket that I needed. Searched online and was fortunate to have found AppliancePartsPros.com. Their website was easily navigated by refrigerator brand and model number and they carried the exact parts that I needed. The parts were shipped quickly and the installation took less than 5 minutes. 

I replaced the water filter and water valve. 

Plugged it into the holes in the panel.
