How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP2591529 / wfcb Refrigerator Water Filter

Ordered both the sets of water valve because both had failed. The ice maker valve failed intially which I ingnored for probably 8months. Then the main failed so no water was getting to the water dispensor. Replacing both sets of solinod valves take about 20minutes 

Long story short, my dad passed away 1.5 yrs ago. He was not one for servicing things.My mom told me black stuff was coming in her ice cubes and water. I replaced the filter and, duh, the water cleared up. I think they go overboard in their rec. but u should change your water filter about once a year. 

I ordered the parts from Appliance Parts and replaced it. 

We replace them I order wed moring and I got Thursday afternoon I was very happy got them quick 

Can't say enough about Jake. Helped me trouble shoot both problems only suggesting products when the problems were identified. Ice maker turned out to only be a frozen supply and door water was a split supply line in the back. 

Read other stories and decided to order temp control. Online chat helped find correct part. Viewed where part was located and mounting screws located. Parts came in two days. Took about 20 minutes to replace. Turned frig on and nothing happened. Turned temp control and nothing happened. Figured I was ready to look for a new frig, 10 minutes later frig came on, cools properly, two weeks later, frig is still working fine. happy customer
