William P Overland Park , KS October 24, 2019 Bake heating element broke apart and the door gasket was frayed and hard. Heating element was easy to replace unscrewing the two screws and unplugging the connectors from the broken element and then reversing the process to put in the new element. The gasket on the other hand required me to dismantle the door. Remove the old gasket and replaced the new gasket and then putting the door together again. This took some time and there were no instructions for the job so went by the seat of my pants. The gasket fits well and the oven has more consistent heat. Michael M Palm Coast , FL August 02, 2026 I have the bake element in my hotpoint stove fail as a matter of fact i replaced it twice previously with imported elements I replaced it this time with a factory OEM big element from Hotpoint or general electric which is the parent company there's no comparison the two other elements that I bought burned out quickly and I was lucky the second time that my house didn't burn down on that failure do yourselves a big favor don't buy that important stuff there's too much at stake putting it into your oven and having it fail I'm very pleased with the element that I bought and I've learned my lesson Read More...
