How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP7215724 / WB44X45494 Bake Element

Ordered replacement part. Watched the video first perfect emphasizes on securing the wires so you don’t lose them in the back of the oven. Element wasn’t exactly same shape/ size as original, not sure why since I used my model# to order. But works and is reaching temperature fine. Took longer to prep everything than to change the part. Very easy to replace, husband was quite impressed that I was able to do it. He wanted me to call a service man. No way! After watching the video I knew I could do it. Thanks for showing that! 

Replaced it myself. I was impressed that a video was included in my email that notified me my order was shipped. It helped and I had no problems doing it. 

Ordered the part online from AppliancePartsPros.com. Had the connectors been compatible, I would have used it but that wasn't the case. I called customer service and the problem was solved. Ordered the right part and returned the first order. I guess they have a warehouse here in the Portland Oregon area because the new part arrived within a couple days. 

My son fixed it. The GE appliance store was out of stock. Was so pleased you had it!! 

I changed the old bake element for a new one. I've got the GE original part from AppliancePartsPros.com. Delivery was quick. Installation/replacing was easy but took a bit longer since I had to find the nut driver. I Thank you. 

Replaced the bake element. 

I have a 12-year-old oven that stopped heating. I used the model number, found the part on the site, and ordered. The repair only required removing (2) 1/4” screws, removing 2 wires, then placing the new element in the oven and reconnecting! I am a do-it-yourselfer woman from Nebraska and I can replace a heating element in stoves. I have baked for myself and others for 50 years. Very easy fix hardest part was finding the correct breaker in the box to turn off the stove's electricity. The guide in the breaker box "Was written by a man". All you do is undo 2 screws and pull out the old element. Unhook the tabs. Hook up the brand-new tabs and push them back into place. Put the screws back into place and you are ready to go. Of course, turn the electricity back on. The company helped me get the exact element for the repair so I had no complications. Call the nice man from the 800 #. Denise with no man help in Nebraska- He was in the field FARMING! 

I replaced the Bake Element. 

Replaced element, order item and received next day, very pleased with quick response.
