How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP5806677 / WR09X20002 Temperature Control Thermostat

Replaced the thermostat, defrost temperature control and the defrost timer. 

I tried to get someone to repair it for me but they wanted $350 for the visit and $75 for the part. I went online to source the part and found this site. I ordered the replacement temperature control thermostat after watching the DIY video - it looked so easy. I overnighted the part, watched the video a few more times, set the computer beside me and followed it step by step. Except for the parts that required a little more hand strength, it went exactly as shown! My fridge is back to normal! It took a few day for some things to thaw but it was easy and everything worked out great! $62 for the part - with overnight shipping - and I saved myself more than $350! Thanks!!!! 

Used replacement part. Seems to have worked for now. 

The part that was sent over wasn’t an exact match, I couldn’t screw it in the base and the metal rod going to the freezer has half shorter, I máde it work, but just a head up. 

Replaced thermostat. Repair video was very helpful. 

Put in new temperature control unit. 

I ordered a part from you guys and fixed it myself by looking at your video. Took me 20 minutes. 

Purchased new thermostat. 

Themostat replaced. 

Replaced Temperature Control, and now it works good as new
