How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3790641 / WE3M26 Dryer Drum Front Support Bearing

I replaced the drum front support bearing and missing bearings.

Replaced dryer drum front support bearing and glide pads. Also had to remove tiny grit buildup on lint filter that prevented air fkow.

I ordered new front drum bearings, but found my front drum bearings support was broken and unable to hold the new bearings. Ordered new bearing support. Part was received quickly. The instructive video was clear and the replacement was easy for me to do. The entire experience with Appliance Parts Pro was easy, fast and perfect all the way through. They are the only company I’ll ever use for my appliance problems.

My son and I replaced the front bearing support and lint chute assembly and now it sounds and runs like new

Replaced Front Support Bearing and drum slides (x2)

Ordered product, followed video on apliancepartspros website and wah-la! It was fixed. Very DIY friendly.

Took apart the dryer to diagnose the problem. Could see that the dryer drum front support bearing was worn and two of the drum slides were completely worn away. An elastic hair band was caught in the front support bearing and this may have messed up the alignment and led to the wear. Removed the old parts according to directions on video and replaced with the new ones. Luckily, I only needed two new drum slides. (Note: the dryer actually has four drum slides so you might have to order four. See what shape they’re in before deciding how many new ones to order.)

Replaced the drum support and the sacrificial glides.
