How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3995088 / WE1M654 Timer Knob Assembly

After taking the timer apart to see why it would not turn I found the timer motor was jammed. Taking the motor apart I found a broken gear. Looked up the model number of the dryer and found a new timer assembly thru appliancepartspros.com I ordered, a very easy process, received the part 2 days later. Installed the assembly in about 5minutes and had the dryer back up and running 

Replaced the timer knob. Pulled old knob off and pulled clip off the timer. Put new timer knob on. Used the video as a guilde. 

Ordered this knob (also the clip knob but in the end didn't need it since timer knob ordered had a new one inside of it). Took two seconds to "repair" -- now all is well! :-) 

Repair was super easy, all parts worked perfect. Great price and delivered on time. Thank you. 

Easily pushed the new knob in place. Very impressed with the delivery, the part took one day with ground delivery. 

Thanks to appliance parts pros and their good inventory, Iw as able tog et a replacement knob in less than 2 days and had the dryer back up and running in no time! (less than 5 minutes) The part was a perfect fit, it took me longer trying to fix the old knob than to replace/install the new one. 

Replaced timer 

Very simple repair, just needed some pliers and a phillip screwdriver. Switch the wires from the old timer shaft to the new one and was done. It tool about 10 minutes to complete. 

I followed the video, watched it several times, everything fit. Did not need a repairman to come out. I did not need to pay out the extra big money for labor. Great! 

Replaced timer, timer knob, and start knob. Took about twenty minutes.
