Andrea April 26, 2020 for Model Number GTDP300EM1WS I need the timer control dial assembly for this dryer. I have purchased a control dial for a GE Hotpoint dryer but not sure if it will fit for this dryer. The original dial was grey. The new one is white. Will it fit? Or maybe I should be asking is the timer control dial the same size as the other 2 dials?

1 Answer Patricia, you will need to open the console section from the back after disconnecting the power cord from the outlet. The backplate will have multiple screws that mount it to the console, securing it in place. Once these screws are removed, this will give you access to the heat selection switch WE4M411 and will allow for a visual inspection to see if the mounting bracket on the console WE19M1490 broke or if the mounting tab on the switch has broken.
