How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3418061 / GSWF Ge Smartwater Gswf Refrigerator Water Filter

I ordered a new set of gaskets and filter from Appliance Pros.com. Watched a video on changing the gaskets and got it done. 

Removed old valve and replaced with new one 

I ordered a filter housing, some plastic tubes to replace the leaking one and en extra connector which came really handy. I followed the videos and replaced parts pretty easily. It could have been done in as little as 15 minutes. But I started getting leaks and took me a while to play with water lines and changing connectors to stop the leak. Then I had to test it a few times to make sure it won't leak again. 

I ordered the part and a handyman installed it. But now it's not making ice so he has to come back. 

Installed a new filter. 

Replacing this part fixed it. I also pulled more of the tube from the fridge bc the water tube looked like it was cracking a bit at the bend. 

Replaced with new water filter. 

Replaced the old one with the new part.
