How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2619954 / WE11M23 Heating Element Assembly

After pulling the top off of the dryer, I could see that one of the heating coils was shorting against the drum. After pulling the front panel and drum I discovered that a couple of the standoffs had crumbled away allowing the coil to contact the drum/case. Just to be safe I decided to replace the entire heating assembly. There are four screws and a handful of wires to remove. I tested each of the thermostats/safeties for continuity and they all tested good. I received the replacement part in two days. Shipping cost was very reasonable. I am a 100% disabled veteran and was able to quickly and easily get my wife's dryer up and running again before she even had time to complain.

I replaced the heating element assembly 

Replaced element and new belt at the same time. Unit was delivered to our door less than 2 days after placing the order. Fantastic service. 

Ordered the correct heating element from appliancepartspros.com and installed it.one day delivery! 

I replaced the heating element, the dryer drum support, bearing slides, trap duct assembly and the drum belt. I would refer to the videos so I knew exactly how to disassemble the dryer and put it back together, with no extra screws leftover. I can't say enough about how helpful the videos were. And just like everybody's been commenting, the shipping is super fast!!! 

Ordered a new heating element after seeing the video and replaced it. Wish it had a video with my dryer but I was able to figure it out based on the video . 

Replaced the heating assembly .followed the easy instruction video. the only thing wrong was the hole for the thermostat screw was not drilled out had to take the assembly back out to drill it ,suggest you check for that error. 

Ordered a new heating element and followed video. No problems! 

Very simple removal of drum to access heating element as well as the same for start switch. Easy repair took about 30 minutes and works like new again.
