How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2619954 / WE11M23 Heating Element Assembly

Replaced old w/ new. 

With the great part I got from Appliance Parts and a youtube video I was able to make the repair and save the cost of a new dryer! 

Watched your repair video 

Ordered heating element assembly, watched video on site, replaced without hitch. Removed top cover and front panel. Removed drum. Removed old heating element. Installed new heating element in it's place, along with thermostats. Put it back together. Most challenging part was removing and putting back the belt. 

Pulled the dryer apart and tested the heater element with a multimeter. Followed some videos from YouTube and it was really easy. Ordered the new heater, installed it and it works great. Use this time with everything torn apart to vacuum everything out real good! It works as good as it did the day we bought it, time for another 12 years of use! 

I replaced the heater element which had been in service for nine years and installed a new belt . I thought it would be a good time while the drum was out. The element went right in thanks to the replacement video. Dryer is working fne thanks to Appliance Peos and the fast dilivery of the needed parts. 

Replaced the heating element. First off wear protective gloves, there are very sharp edges when removing the outer shell. Since I perform a wide range of mechanical task, this repair was fairly easy fix. Remember to take your time there are electrical connectors and retaining clamps to contend with.
