How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2634743 / WB30T10062 Radiant Element

The site diagnosed the failure code correctly. I used the site Parts Diagram and selected the replacement parts. Since the entire cooktop would no longer function, I had the parts sent overnight and I received them the next day. I watched a couple of U-Tube videos for the radiant element replacement. There was and excessive amount foam tape sent - a huge roll for $33 - 10Ft would have been enough but I have around 40ft left over. There wasn't much description of the tape. Just a GE part#. I couldn't tell if it was anything special or if I could have just went to Lowes. All in all - a very convenient and easy to use site. I would highly recommend. 

We replaced the right front burner. 

Ordered a new coil, then removed cooktop from countertop, removed glass, took photos of existing layout, replaced coil then put all back together. Had to also replace foam seal around edges. Total job time about 1 hour. 

Bought new replacement part and did the installation myself. 

Change the parts 

Replace the RF element and calibrate the cooktop
